Hot summers and cold winters can make budgeting your energy bills harder. Our Average Monthly Payment (AMP) plan spreads the costs over the entire year, so you pay about the same amount each month.
We average your last 12 months of bills to create the average monthly payment. This amount changes slightly each month, based on your usage. The difference between the amount you pay and your actual bill is added or subtracted from a deferred balance throughout the year.

Your deferred balance is the difference between your Average Monthly Payment (the amount you pay) and the actual amount of electricity you use.
This balance allows your payment to remain in-between your highest and lowest usage months. If you use more electricity one month, the extra cost is added to the deferred balance. If you use less, the deferred balance is credited for the difference. The monthly billing amount changes are normal and help keep the fluctuation smaller than if you were not on the program.
Note: This balance will be due on your final bill if you move out of our service territory or on your next bill if you unenroll or miss two consecutive bill due dates. If you move to an address inside our service territory, the program and the balance travel with you.
Your AMP plan will renew each year on the anniversary date of when you enrolled as long as your account remains active and the account balance is current.
The AMP plan is calculated monthly based on the current twelve month average which fluctuates slightly. This plan recalculates each month which avoids the potential of accumulating a large settlement balance, or credit, at the anniversary month.
“Remember User ID” helps you log in without having to memorize your ID or look it up every time. When you opt in, we automatically fill in your ID from then on. To avoid unauthorized access, you’ll still have to enter your password.
