2023 Accredited Deliverable Capacity RFP - Closed

SWEPCO has issued this 2023 SPP Capacity RFP to obtain up to 140 megawatts (MW) in 2026 and 2027 of accredited deliverable electric generating capacity from one or more resources within the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) to supply the needs of SWEPCO’s customers.

Proposals will be evaluated based on criteria outlined in the 2023 SPP Capacity RFP. Proposals must be for a capacity only product with a minimum term of one (1) year and a maximum term of two (2) years with a start date of June 1, 2026.

To qualify for consideration resources must interconnect to the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) RTO and proposals must be for a minimum quantity of 10 MW. Refer to the RFP for additional requirements (See Sections 4 and 9.2).

Proposals are due May 9, 2023. All proposal responses should be directed to the RFP email address outlined in the RFP documents.
