Weatherization Program

Sealing your home from air leaks and adding insulation can help make your home more comfortable and energy efficient. Weatherization keeps the conditioned air in your home while attic insulation helps maintain the indoor air temperature. It's a cost-effective way to cut your annual heating and cooling costs by up to 10%.

SWEPCO will help pay for the following energy efficiency measures through our Weatherization Program:

• Insulation
• ENERGY STAR® LED Lighting
• Caulking & Weatherstripping

Underserved households that meet the set federal poverty guidelines for annual total household income may be eligible to receive the above energy efficiency measures at no cost. If interested, please confirm your eligibility with the SWEPCO-approved contractor of your choice.

How To Participate

SWEPCO relies on a network of approved contractors to help customers make the above energy efficiency home improvements.

Step 1. Start by selecting one of our approved contractors in Arkansas, Louisiana or Texas.

Step 2. Set up an appointment with your selected contractor to get a quote on the recommended energy efficiency measure(s) for your home.

Step 3. Review your quote. Be sure to agree on a price, warranty and any other concerns you may have before any work begins on your home. The SWEPCO Energy Efficiency Incentive will be included in the quote. If you do not agree with the quote, you do not have to move forward with the work.

Step 4. The contractor performs the installation. We may contact you for feedback on your program experience and for an inspection to verify the work was performed to our program standards.
