Melissa Gage

Vice President, Regulatory and Finance

Melissa Gage is SWEPCO's Vice President of Regulatory & Finance. She is responsible for SWEPCO's regulatory and financial strategy, the company's budgeting process and she serves as the primary interface with SWEPCO's parent company, American Electric Power, for finance and regulatory activities.

Gage joined American Electric Power (AEP) in 2015, providing legal guidance on various regulatory matters for SWEPCO and AEP's operating companies at the PUCT. In 2020, she became associate general counsel for AEP's western footprint, leading a team in regulatory matters across multiple state commissions. Prior to AEP, she worked at a law affirm in Austin representing utilities in regulatory issues.

Gage received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin and earned her Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Southern Methodist University.
