SWEPCO restoring power following overnight storms

November 5, 2022

As of 1:30 p.m., SWEPCO crews are working to restore service to more than 5,000 customers who remain without power in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas following overnight storms.

The storm system caused significant damage in Northeast Texas and Northwest Louisiana. At the peak, more than 25,000 customers were without power.

SWEPCO crews are continuing to assess damage and restore power as safely and quickly as possible.

Estimated times of restoration for 95 percent of customers are as follows:

Arkansas

 Nashville: 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5

Louisiana

Hornbeck: 10 pm Saturday, Nov. 5  

Natchitoches: 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5  

Mansfield: noon Sunday, Nov. 6

Shreveport: 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5

Bossier City: 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5

Haughton: 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5

Vivian: 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5

Texas

Texarkana: 10 p.m.  Saturday, Nov. 5

Mt. Pleasant: 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5

Remember to stay away and keep children and pets away from downed lines. Treat all downed power lines as if they are energized and dangerous.
