For 100 years, SWEPCO's Arsenal Hill Power Plant has helped power homes, businesses and communities across the region. Employees, retirees and company leaders recently came together to celebrate the plant's century-long legacy and the people who have kept it running.

This week, customers in parts of Shreveport and Bossier City may see additional tree trimming crews at work as part of SWEPCO's ongoing commitment to providing safe, reliable power.

To help customers stay safe and comfortable, SWEPCO is suspending residential disconnections for nonpayment through the end of the week.

More than 250 Southwestern Electric Power Co. (SWEPCO) employees from across the company's Ark-La-Tex service territory made the roughly 17-hour journey to Ohio to assist sister company AEP Ohio with power restoration efforts. 

While the storm's ultimate track and intensity remain uncertain, SWEPCO has prepared its storm response plan and stands ready to deploy crews and resources should outages occur.

Massive equipment has arrived in Hallsville. After a carefully coordinated journey by rail and specialized transport, key components for SWEPCO's new 450-megawatt generation plant are now on site, marking a major milestone in the transformation of the former Pirkey Power Plant property.
