Electric consumers on life support systems should make contingency plans as tropical storm nears coast

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (June 15, 2015) – As tropical weather approaches the Texas Gulf Coast, electric customers on life support systems are reminded to make arrangements now in case of a prolonged power outage.

AEP Texas delivers electric power on the coast from Port Isabel to Matagorda, Texas. These areas are the most susceptible to power outages caused by tropical weather.

Electric consumers should note that the intensity of the storm and where it will make landfall is uncertain, but everyone should examine their personal storm plan in case electric power is disrupted.
