How To Participate
SWEPCO relies on a network of approved contractors to help customers make energy efficiency home improvements. You do not need to go through a contractor to participate in our Smart Thermostat Rebate Program. Additionally, there are more than just air sealing and air conditioning incentives available in Arkansas, so please check out our Arkansas-specific energy efficiency site for a comprehensive list of Residential Energy Efficiency Programs in that state.
Step 1. Start by selecting one of our approved contractors in Arkansas, Louisiana or Texas. In Louisiana and Texas, there are different contractors for our Air Sealing Incentive Program and our Air Conditioning Incentive Program.
Step 2. Set up an appointment with your selected contractor to get a quote on the recommended energy efficiency measure(s) for your home.
Step 3. Review your quote. Be sure to agree on a price, warranty and any other concerns you may have before any work begins on your home. The SWEPCO Energy Efficiency Incentive will be included in the quote. If you do not agree with the quote, you do not have to move forward with the work.
Step 4. The contractor performs the installation. We may contact you for feedback on your program experience and for an inspection to verify the work was performed to our program standards.
