Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) continues its Ways to Save video series with details on SWEPCO’s easy-to-use tool to identify bill help.

Each Tuesday, ArkLaTex residents can learn proven tips, incentives, and programs that can help them learn how to reduce energy consumption and save money. This week, Matthew McGraw, Senior Customer Services Account Representative, shares with Jan Elkins of KTBS how to use SWEPCO’s online affordability tool.

During times of financial stress, knowing where to find help can make all the difference. That’s why SWEPCO recently launched a new online affordability tool. This tool is designed to be a lifeline for income-qualified customers, providing them with the resources they need to manage their electric bills effectively.

“We know that customers can fall on hard times, and it’s easy to get behind and need to know what kind of help is out there and what you can do to make things more affordable,” McGraw said.

To get started, visit SWEPCO.com/billhelp. Customers can log into their account to find the short six-question survey and quickly discover the assistance available to them. This streamlined process makes it easier than ever for customers to find and access the help they need.

McGraw said the assistance can come in the form of an extension giving a customer more time to make a payment or an arrangement where the balance due is broken up over several months to help a customer get caught up. In addition, SWEPCO also offers average monthly payments, weatherization programs and details on how eligible customers can apply for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
