Across SWEPCO’s service territory in towns large and small you’ll find communities open for business and actively engaged with SWEPCO’s economic and business development leaders to find new ways to attract, recruit and grow businesses. 

Additionally, you’ll find dedicated members of the community like Suzanne Babb, executive director for Sevier County’s Chamber of Commerce, actively working hard to nurture businesses of all sizes. 

Sevier County Chamber of Commerce in De Queen, AR recently unveiled their newly renovated offices which feature a small business studio space and meeting room to help entrepreneurs promote or grow their business. SWEPCO recently received a personalized tour of the beautiful and historic space, located downtown in what was once the community fire station. 

“Our mission is to support our local business community and we’re looking forward to seeing how our entrepreneurs will discover the next big idea and take advantage of our resources,” explained Suzanne Babb, Sevier County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. 

SWEPCO’s beloved mascot, Louie the Lightning Bug, was on hand to celebrate the space and tour the facility. 

“We love partnering with all our communities and want to give a shoutout to the De Queen and Sevier County leaders for the warm welcome we received,” said SWEPCO’s Corporate Communications Director Amanda Keeney. “The Chamber of Commerce and Sevier County Friends Foundation are working hard to position the community for future growth.
